ABOUT

All of my work reflects my respect and love of the natural world. My abstracts echo the world I see around me as well as the imagined world I know is there. Although the imagery may be recognizable, most of the ideas come to me from my unconscious.  For example I usually let my hands, arms move freely, pushing and pulling the paint to form imagery that feels emotionally strong and satisfying.  The process usually takes many attempts and multiple layers of paint, massaging, scraping and manipulating until it feels complete. I’m always amazed at how seamlessly objects and nature unite with each other. The truth is, I never know what I will create, but in the end, I am emotionally satisfied.  And, for me, it’s always beautiful – just like the world we live in.
